2 Tuckahoe officers identified in alleged DWI crash cover-up
The two Tuckahoe police officers accused of letting a New York City Police Department officer off with a ticket after an alleged DWI accident have been identified.
Officials say officer Vincent Pinto and Sgt. John Cuccinello stopped NYPD officer Michael Lazarou after Lazarou crashed into a light post and parking meter nearly one year ago.
Authorities say the two officers failed to give him a field-sobriety test, instead issuing tickets for erratic driving and property damage.
The alleged incident leaked out after a taped conversation between two NYPD officers.
The Westchester County district attorney, along with the Tuckahoe Police Department, is investigating the accusations.
