3 injured in pit bull attack in Greenburgh

Police are investigating after two pit bulls attacked three people Saturday in Greenburgh.

Investigators say the dogs got loose and attacked their owner, Beverly Taylor, 25, before attacking a man and his daughter at an event at their church.

All three people were hospitalized as a result of the attacks. The father remains in critical condition.

Police say after tranquilizing the dogs, one of them attempted to attack the officers, forcing the police to kill it.

Neither dog was vaccinated, so both dogs will be tested for rabies, according to officials.
