Cops: New weapons bust at Yonkers public school

For the second time this week, officials say dangerous weapons have been found inside a Yonkers public school.Authorities say two middle school students armed with a knife and a box cutter got into a fight at Cross Hill Academy today. Both students were arrested, although their ages and identities were not released. The school, formerly known as Emerson Middle School, houses students as young as pre-schoolers, officials say. The latest incident comes just two days after a student at Roosevelt High School was arrested for allegedly showing up at school with a loaded pistol in his backpack. Sixteen-year-old Alrick Brucknor was charged with criminal weapons possession. No one was injured in either incident.Family of Yonkers teen facing gun charges defends himYonkers teen facing gun charges may have been victim of bullyingPolice: Yonkers teen brought loaded handgun to school
