Some Yorktown seniors in trouble without power

A senior citizen complex in Yorktown has been without heat, hot water and electricity since Saturday's snowstorm.

Local politicians are now demanding that NYSEG and the state step in to help the 260 seniors at the Beaver Ridge Assisted Living Housing complex.

Yorktown Assemblyman Steve Katz and his team went door-to-door on Monday to help out. Some seniors citizens were stuck on the third floor because elevators were out, and others hadn't eaten in two days.

State Sen. Greg Ball handed out food and distributed dry ice to residents at the complex, but says the state needs to step in and help.
