Westchester holds drill to prep against health emergency

Westchester County health officials are holding mass evacuation drills today to keep their skills sharp in the event of a flu pandemic or bio-terrorism attack.

Health Commissioner Dr. Shirlita Amler says the county is teaming up with nursing students to offer them real-world experience through the training exercise at Westchester Community College.

Students say the drill gives them the experience they need to complement their class work.

Free flu shots will be given out at Westchester Community College until 8 p.m.
