'Stuff a Bus' program donates pajamas and book to needy kids

Students at the Todd Elementary School in Briarcliff Manor have filled several buses with enough clothes and books to help over 600 needy kids in Westchester County.

The fourth annual "Stuff a Bus" event is part of the nationwide Pajama Program that helps less fortunate kids.

Genevieve Pitturo started the charity 10 years ago when she saw the effect that a pair of pajamas had on a special little girl. "She said what are they? She didn't know what they were. She went to sleep every night in her pants." After that first pair, it became Pitturo's mission to give every child a proper bed time.

Since 2001, the Pajama Program has provided pj's and books to over one million kids worldwide.
