New Rochelle mayoral race nearing finish line

Voters in New Rochelle are heading to the polls today to elect the city's next mayor following a heated race that has turned personal at times. Both the incumbent, Noam Bramson, and his opponent, City Councilman Richard St. Paul, say they are confident they've run a strong campaign and they are the best choice to lead New Rochelle. Bramson, a Democrat, is seeking his second full term after having completed the term of former Mayor Tim Idoni, who was elected county clerk. Bramson says he's the right person to move the city into the future.St. Paul, a Republican, say he's confident voters are looking for a new direction and that he's the man to take them there. Both candidates will spend the next few hours trying to get their message out and encourage voters to go to the polls.
