Optimum Lightpath awards grants to 5 local schools

Optimum Lightpath announced the winners of its Transforming Education with Technology grant program at a ceremony in White Plains this morning. The program was open to public and private elementary and secondary schools throughout Westchester County. Of the 44 schools that applied, the Biondi School of Leake and Watts, Corpus Christi-Holy Rosary, Mount Pleasant-Blythedale, Thorton High School and Westlake High School were awarded $10,000 to advance teaching and learning with technology in the classroom."This provides a tremendous opportunity for our students," says George Cancro, of the Biondi School.Optimum Lightpath is a subsidiary of Cablevision, which is also the parent company of News 12 Westchester.
