Local teens on mission to help homeless veterans

Some local teens were on a mission on the eve of Veterans Day, aimed at getting those who've served our nation the help they need.

The teens, from a Jewish service organization called Jteens, collected food, clothes and shoes for months. They brought food and toiletries to the homeless on a Midnight Run from Westchester to Midtown Manhattan.

While many organizations that work with the homeless in the city say it would be logistically impossible to get an exact number of homeless veterans, they say nationwide there are more than 100,000 vets living on the streets.
