Hundreds turn out for Veterans Day parade in Harrison

As part of Veterans Day, people throughout the area are honoring the men and women who keep our country safe and protected.

Hundreds turned out in Harrison as the annual Veterans Day parade made its way down Underhill Avenue to the beat of the thunderous marching band and cheers and applause.

As the veterans marched, looking on from the crowd was 88-year-old Mario Silluzio, a World War II vet who lost several friends in battle.

?It's great to be here for the boys and the women who are still fighting for us,? said Silluzio. ?That's what we live for?that's our future.?

Many at the parade add it's important to say thank you each and every day to those who have served and continue to serve our country.
