Verizon workers march to join Occupy Wall St.

Dozens of Verizon workers are marching to support the Occupy Wall Street movement.

The group is marching 150 miles on foot from Albany to lower Manhattan to spread the message against corporate greed. Many of the protesters have been working without a contract for months.

The group passed through Yonkers yesterday.

A Verizon spokesman say that such public events by the workers do nothing to resolve the issues confronting Verizon and its workers.
