Private memorial held to remember rapper Heavy D

Family and friends gathered tonight at Grace Baptist Church to say goodbye to rapper and actor Heavy D.

Earlier in the day, thousands of fans attended a public memorial in Mount Vernon.

Heavy D, born Dwight Arrington Myers, died at a Los Angeles hospital last week after collapsing outside his home of complications from pneumonia. He was 44.

Rap mogul Diddy and the Rev. Al Sharpton are scheduled to speak at a private funeral tomorrow.
