Star-studded sendoff for Mt. Vernon native Heavy D

Family and friends, including many celebrities, gathered in Mount Vernon today to remember music pioneer Heavy D. Today's private funeral was held at the historic Grace Baptist Church. Among the attendees were Usher, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Samuel L. Jackson, and Will Smith and his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.Proving how far Heavy D's influence reached, Rev. Al Sharpton read a note of condolences from President Barack Obama at the service. Mount Vernon residents said what they'll remember most about Heavy D was the impact he had on the city.
