FBI-led raid nets at least 16 drug dealers
At least 16 people are under arrest after an FBI-led pre-dawn sweep in Rockland, Westchester and the Bronx.
The police task force targeted suspects selling illegal prescription drugs. This is just the latest in a handful of regional raids since October.
Last week, a dozen alleged drug dealers ranging in ages from 18 to 60 years old were taken off the streets in Clarkstown, Spring Valley and Haverstraw by the county narcotics task force.
In October the same task force, arrested nearly 40 people for selling prescription drugs in an undercover operation outside malls, restaurants and supermarkets throughout Rockland.
Those arrested this morning are expected to be arraigned in federal court in White Plains this afternoon.
