Regis Philbin signs off after 28 years

Regis Philbin told his morning TV viewers, "I'll always remember spending the mornings with all of you" as he signed off for the last time today.

The 80-year-old talk show host has logged more than 17,000 hours on television in a career that began in the 1960s.

Philbin will soon embark on a book tour for his new memoir, "How I Got This Way."

Jerry Seinfeld will join Kelly Ripa on Monday as the first in her series of guest co-hosts. A permanent replacement will be named later.
