Police say Michael Purdy, 56, and Michael Boccardi, 47, were friends and coworkers at the Town of Carmel Highway Department. They say Purdy was seeing Boccardi's estranged wife, and that Boccardi fatally shot Purdy Tuesday night in a jealous rage after seeing the two together.Boccardi then turned the gun on himself, police say.
The deaths have shaken up the community of Carmel.
