Funeral held for DPW worker killed in murder-suicide

Loved ones bid a final farewell today to a volunteer firefighter and DPW worker killed in what police are calling a love triangle in Putnam County.

Police say Yonkers native Michael Purdy was shot and killed by his coworker and friend, Michael Boccardi, who was upset that the victim was dating his ex-wife. Boccardi then shot and killed himself, police say.

The flags at Purdy's former firehouse in Mahopac will remain at half-staff for the next 10 days. Cops: Mahopac murder-suicide was result of love triangle
