WC, HV police beef up DWI patrols ahead of Thanksgiving

Police across the Hudson Valley are stepping up DWI patrols on one of the biggest drinking nights of the year.

In Stony Point, police set up a mobile command center to handle processing of impaired drivers so police can return to patrolling the roads quicker.

"Our focus is to have a safe holiday get-together for people, and that means not drinking and driving, giving your keys to someone else," says Lt. Keith Williams of the Stony Point Police Department.

Police say they will also be patrolling local bars as well, looking for underage drinkers.
