Gov. Cuomo launches effort to help food banks

New York is launching a statewide initiative to urge businesses and people to give directly to food banks this holiday season.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-N.Y.) announced the "Help Your Neighbor" campaign to fill the shelves at area food banks.

Cuomo also says a $1 million grant will be given to eight food banks across the state and additional funding will be given to other relief organizations in communities hit by recent flooding and storms.
