4 months later, still no sign of Lauren Spierer
It has now been four months since Edgemont native Lauren Spierer was last seen in Bloomington, Ind. While police have no leads and all searches have come up empty-handed, her family members say they are not giving up hope and will remain in Indiana until she's found.
Lauren, a sophomore at Indiana University, disappeared early on June 3 after a night out with friends at Kilroy's Sports Bar in Bloomington. Her shoes and cell phone were left at the bar, and the people who claimed to have seen her last have gotten lawyers and are not talking to investigators.
Hundreds of volunteers have organized searches and put up missing person posters around Bloomington, but no sign of her has ever turned up. A search of a local landfill also turned up empty. Lauren's parents have temporarily moved to Bloomington and have even hired a retired NYPD detective as a private investigator. Anyone with information on her disappearance is asked to contact Bloomington police.
