Woman arrested in Yonkers domestic dispute
A woman was taken into police custody early this morning after she allegedly stabbed a man in the arm during a domestic dispute.
Police were called by a neighbor on Briggs Avenue after they reported hearing people arguing in an apartment. The victim called police soon after to report that he had been stabbed. Neighbors reported seeing blood everywhere as they took their children outside to wait for the school bus.
"I heard a lot of screaming and banging and throwing of things," said Lisa Salotto, who lives in the building where the violence took place. She says the incident left her and her other neighbors shaken. "They shouldn't have to be woken like this."
The victim, whose name hasn't been released, was rushed to Jacobi Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police say the suspect, whose identity is also not being released, is not facing any charges at this time, but that could change.
