Elderly woman unhurt in Yorktown fire

An elderly woman had luckily gone out to run errands and wasn't hurt when a fire ripped through her Yorktown home Monday night.

Relatives say Melita Stebel lived at the home alone, but was out when neighbors saw flames shooting out of her 1950s home on Maiden Lane and called 911.

Officials say the fire is still under investigation, but appears to be accidental. They also say it most likely began in the living room's electrical box.
