Indian Point nuclear facility stages mock attack

Residents shouldn't be alarmed if they hear the sound of gunfire today near the Indian Point nuclear power plant.

The security units at the Buchanan plant will be firing off the fake weapons for mock drills over the next two weeks.

Indian Point officials say the anti-terrorism training could happen anytime during the day or the evening.

Local police are aware of the drills and want people to not be alarmed if they hear the fake gunfire coming from the facility.
