'Do or die' tonight for the Yankees

Tonight is the deciding game 5 in the American League division playoffs between the Yankees and the Detroit Tigers.

The pitching matchup has New York's Ivan Nova getting the start on the mound against Tigers right-hander Doug Fister.

Nova and Fister were the pitchers of record when the suspendedfirst game of the series resumed last Saturday night, which resulted in 9-3 Yankees win.

Nova will become the first rookie to start a postseason game for the Yankees since Chien-Ming Wang in 2005.

The winner of the Yankees-Tigers series will face the Texas Rangers in the ALCS beginning Saturday night. If the Yankees win tonight, they would open the series at home.
