Icabod Crane and the Headless Horseman come to life
Residents in Sleepy Hollow are getting ready for their favorite time of year - Halloween.
When it comes to spooky spectaculars, few places can compete with the Hudson Valley.
For the second year, Philipsburg Manor in Sleepy Hollow is bringing Icabod Crane and the Headless Horseman to life with their "Horseman's Hollow."
Visitors begin walking a haunted trail, stumbling upon scary scenes of a town driven mad by the Headless Horseman. Creatures, human and otherwise, lurk in the shadows, ready to terrify the unsuspecting while incredible special effects disorient and unsettle. Elaborate costumes and the work of award-wining feature film makeup artists make it all too real.
Organizers stress that the Hollow is not suitable for kids under 12 and warn it is not for adults who are claustrophobic, have heart or respiratory conditions, are prone to seizures or have other chronic health conditions.
Tickets are $20, or $25 on Saturdays.
