Judge Judy mentors young women

Popular TV personality Judge Judy is working on the other side of the bench with other prominent women in Westchester to help young women become successful.

She and mentors met with 40 girls from Westchester schools to a kickoff event at the Larchmont Shore Club.

Over the next six months, the students will get hands-on work experience and advice about potential career paths.

They'll also take part in courses like etiquette and public speaking to prepare them for the work world.

The "Her Honor" mentoring program was developed by Judge Judy's daughter, Nicole, and is funded by the judge and the Lanza Family Foundation.
