Slain Pace student honored in campus newspaper

A special tribute took place today for a Pace University student who was shot and killed by a Pleasantville police officer one year ago.

Students at Pace University memorialized Danroy Henry, Jr. with a special tribute edition of the Pace Chronicle.

The student newspaper dedicated its Oct. 12 issue to the star football player.

"If you're a Pace student, you're family and he was one of us," says Michael Oleaga, the editor-in-chief of the Pace Chronicle.

Henry had driven a car at a number of officers after a fight broke out at a Thornwood bar on Oct. 17, 2010. Pleasantville police officer Aaron Hess fired the fatal shots at Henry, but not before Henry struck Hess with his car.
