Debate swirls over Tappan Zee Bridge project
Nyack Mayor Richard Kavesh says any plan to replace the aging Tappan Zee Bridge must include a mass transit option.
"Otherwise you just build a bridge without mass transit and we'll end up with the same kind of congestion and pollution we have right now," he says.
Kavesh says state and federal officials have indicated that whatever is built, it will be a bridge, not a tunnel. Other than that, plans for the project are still uncertain.
