Elderly Yonkers couple found dead in their Florida hot tub

A Yonkers businessman and his wife were found dead in the hot tub at their Florida home yesterday. As police try to figure how they died, family and friends are reacting with shock and sadness at the news.

The bodies of Pat and Mary Marino, both in their 80s, were found floating in a hot tub inside their Fort Myers home yesterday. They were discovered by a neighbor who had to check on them, after relatives in Westchester grew concerned after not hearing from them for days. While toxicology results are pending, police say their deaths don't appear to be the result of foul play.

According to neighbors, the Marinos owned the Marino Insurance Agency in Westchester and divided their between their homes in Yonkers and Fort Myers. Neighbors and relatives described the couple as sweet and loving, who devoted their lives to their family.

"It doesn't really hit you at first, but you still feel terrible," said the couple's granddaughter Jennifer Jamieson.
