Hawthorne Cedar Knolls HS opens new recording studio

A brand-new, state-of-the-art recording studio is now open at the Hawthorne Cedar Knolls High School.

The digital studio offers hands-on learning about poetry, music and more for the students who live on the campus.

Studio Director Howard Sutherland says the studio will give the troubled teens a chance to express themselves. "A lot of times they don't have a way to express themselves," he says. "So this is a means for them to express their pain."

The recording studio project was completed with the help of a state grant.
