Greenburgh supervisor envisions Tappan Zee walkway

Some Westchester residents say that after the new Tappan Zee Bridge is built, the old Tappan Zee should be turned into a pedestrian walkway like Manhattan's Highline Park.

Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner says that creating a pedestrian walkway out of the old Tappan Zee is a no-brainer. Feiner says adding a sculpture garden is one of the few interesting things the county can do.

Many agree with Feiner, saying that the idea of a pedestrian walkway shows that he is once again thinking outside the box once.

The plan isn't set in stone, though. A planning meeting will be held at the Greenburgh Town Hall on November 16
