Police locate car of missing New City woman

New City authorities are searching for a woman who went missing earlier today after her husband says she left a note indicating she may hurt herself. Police say Denise Gruffi, 57, did not report to her job at Link Elementary School in New City this morning, and school officials informed her family. Investigators also say Gruffi was last seen at 7 a.m. by her husband, who says he returned home at 11 a.m. and noticed a note and missing medication. Authorities have confirmed that they have located Gruffi's car, and that they believe she may be traveling on foot in the area. Anyone with information is urged to call Clarkstown police at 845-639-5800.Police searching for missing New City woman
