Police: Cross River family dead in apparent murder-suicide

New York State police have confirmed that four people are dead tonight in Cross River after an apparent murder-suicide. Police say they received a call at around 3:30 p.m. and arrived at the home on Lambert Ridge Road to find the bodies of Sam Friedlander, his wife, Amy, and their two children, a 10-year-old girl and 8-year-old boy. Officials say Sam Friedlander was an attorney, and did not show up at work today. Lewisboro Police Chief Frank Secret says he knew of no previous reports of domestic violence at the home. Sources tell News 12 that the parents were in the midst of a divorce. According to real estate websites, the house has been on sale for about five months.
