New Hempstead man killed in shed collapse

A New Hempstead homeowner was killed earlier today after a shed on his property collapsed on him.

The victim, Raymond Mundy, was working on his property along Route 306 when the send collapsed, killing him instantly. The incident occurred at around 5:20 p.m. Police say Mundy was doing some work on the top of the shed, when the 500-pound roof fell in. At the time of his death, Bundy was the President of the Rockland County Humane Society.

Officials say the case is still under investigation.
