Neighbors of dead Cross River family struggling
Neighbors living near the Friedlander family in Cross River are having a difficult time dealing with the murder-suicide.
Many of the houses on Lambert Ridge Road have signs on their front doors for the media to leave them alone. People living there say they are too upset to speak about the horror that took place just doors away.
Many in the tiny hamlet of Cross River, however, are talking about the tragedy as residents are struggling to wrap their heads around what happened.
"Everybody's talking about it, people in the bank, the grocery store. Everybody's on the phone talking about. It's a horrendous thing," says Joan Vankleeck, of Cross River. Police and town officials discuss murder-suicide in Cross River
