Police have identified the 20-year-old man found dead near a home in Ardsley yesterday. Authorities say the body of Charles McCarthy, of Hartsdale, was discovered lying face down on Chimney Pot Lane, not far from Heatherdell Road. They say he was wearing a tank top, slippers and either gym shorts or underwear. McCarthy graduated from Edgemont High School in June and was taking classes at Westchester Community College. Some residents say he might have been visiting a friend, while others say his death remains a mystery.
