Accident takes life of Rockland Humane Society president

Mourners gathered tonight to celebrate the life of Rockland County's Humane Society President Raymond Mundy.

The 68-year-old was crushed to death when the 500-pound roof that he was working on suddenly collapsed, according to officials.

Friends and family remember his love for animals and the work that he did with the Humane Society.

Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Monday at the Wanamaker and Carlough Funeral Home in Suffern.

Investigators are still looking into what caused the roof of the shed to collapse.
