Yonkers parents worried about trick-or-treaters, live power lines

Parents in Yonkers say they are worried about their children trick-or-treating near live power lines after the weekend's winter blast. Sleet and snow fell on tree branches weighted with leaves, bringing them down on homes and telephone poles. Police have blocked off streets, but some say they are still concerned for their kids' safety.

"You don't know whether there's live wires on the trees, or anything like that," said parent Peggy Abbatiello, of Hastings. "They got to watch out what they're doing." Residents say they will also make sure their kids are in boots to keep snow out of the house.
