Police: Mt. Vernon man killed in apparent hit-and-run

Police say a Mount Vernon man is dead after being struck by a car in The Bronx in what appears to be a hit-and-run.

Authorities say Antonio Damiano, Jr., 23, was struck by a car at around 3:30 a.m. this morning while he was walking by himself on the northbound side of the Henry Hudson Parkway in The Bronx.

Police are trying to find witnesses who can give a description of anyone or any vehicle involved.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
