State Sen. Ball seeks probe of utility companies after Irene

State Sen. Greg Ball (R-N.Y.) is calling for investigations to examine how Hudson Valley utility companies handled the power outages after Hurricane Irene passed through the region.

Ball, speaking to supporters over the weekend at the Putnam Valley Senior Center, said that the utility companies had poor response times and communication failures after the storm.
