Retired firefighter's Tuckahoe home bursts into flames

A retired Eastchester firefighter's multi-family home caught on fire in Tuckahoe this morning, causing multiple minor injuries.

Officials say they believe the two-alarm fire broke out on the third floor at 134 Columbus Ave. at around 9 a.m.

According to the Eastchester Fire Department, everyone made it out of the building safely, but one man had to be rescued from a window. He was then taken to an area hospital, but his condition is unknown.

An investigation is under way to determine the cause of the fire.
