Playland patrons unaffected by recent violence

Families packed Rye Playland for some Labor Day fun today and seemed to be unaffected by recent violence that has plagued the park.

Last week, 15 people were arrested during a brawl over Muslim women wearing traditional headscarves on rides. Just a few days later, four Playland park rangers and two concession workers were hurt while trying to subdue a Bronx man after he allegedly punched a female worker in the face.

Most patrons said they weren't worried about another violent outbreak and that those incidents could happen anywhere.
