Region under flood watch

The National Weather Service has placed Rockland, Putnam and northern Westchester counties under a flood watch until noon today.

Many parkways are shut due to flooding, and rain is expected to last on and off into tonight.

County police report numerous closures along the Bronx River, Hutchinson River, Saw Mill River and Cross County parkways.

Roadways crews are still trying to repair flooding damage caused by Irene and now also dealing with the remnants of Tropical Storm Lee.
