Bad weather adds to flood fears

With the ground already saturated due to Irene, the latest round of stormy weather is providing new problems to the region.

Heavy rains are bringing down trees throughout the Hudson Valley. A downed tree in Hastings-on-Hudson last night shut the Saw Mill River Parkway.

In Briarcliff Manor, residents and business are dealing with a massive sinkhole on North State Road. Village officials say they've been working with engineers, Con Edison and the federal government to repair damages.

The new rain is also renewing flooding to the previously hard hit Clunie Avenue area of Yonkers. The neighborhood was evacuated due to flooding last week and many who chose not to evacuated wound up trapped in their homes and needed to be rescued by boat.
