Yorktown residents angry over fraudulent spending

Yorktown residents sounded off last night about a recent state comptrollers report that found huge financial discrepancies as well as porn on the highway superintendents computer.

The 48 page audit detailed questionable spending in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. It specifically blasts Yorktown Highway Superintendent Eric DIbartolo, claiming he wasted town money while purchasing equipment. It also accuses Dlbartolo of not telling anyone he was working for another company simultaneously and not seeking competitive bids

Town officials insist they have implemented 80 percent of the recommendations made in the audit, but many citizens believe they should go even further to make sure this type of fraud and abuse never happens again.
