Stew Leonard's in Yonkers flies flag in remembrance of 9/11

Stew Leonard has joined forces with a war veteran to to honor those lost 10 years ago in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

For years, 73-year-old war veteran Ron Sorenson has traveled the country and the world with his "Missing in Action, Attack on our Nation" flag.

Today, Sorenson was joined by local officials to raise the flag above the Stew Leonard's Yonkers location.

The black and gold design has already flown at the Ground Zero freedom tower, the only flag to fly there other than the Stars and Stripes.

Sorenson says the flag's bold colors and prominent image of a mother and child is a universal symbol of the innocent victims lost and missing to acts of terrorism.

Yonkers City Council members say the flag will fly over City Hall in time for the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11th attacks.
