14-year-old girl suspected in dad's fatal stabbing

A 14-year-old girl is suspected of stabbing her father to death in Port Chester over the weekend.

Authorities say the teenager called police at around 5:30 a.m. Sunday, claiming an intruder had broken into their home at 235 Mortimer St. and stabbed her father. Officials found 54-year-old Anthony Guglielmo dead at the scene, along with an open window, a cut screen and a garbage can under the window.

According to police, Guglielmo's daughter gave police inconsistent statements. They say that emergency medical responders who arrived on the scene also believe Guglielmo had been dead for hours before the 911 call was made.

The teenager was questioned by police and released into the custody of her mother. Police confirm she is a suspect, but say no arrests have been made.

The girl's name is not being released due to her age.
