Yonkers police investigate shooting in broad daylight

Yonkers police are investigating a shooting in broad daylight that sent a man to the hospital.

They say they are looking for a suspect who fired several shots yesterday afternoon outside 121 Yonkers Ave., near a local insurance agency.

Police say one man was shot in the leg and rushed to the hospital.

Investigators say they spotted the shooter on surveillance cameras running from the scene. The suspect then took off down a flight of steps between an apartment complex and deli.

Witnesses report they didn't hear any arguing before the shooting.

Police have yet to release a motive for the crime.
