Siegel to continue fight to remain Yorktown supervisor

Despite being soundly defeated in the Republican primary for Yorktown supervisor, incumbent Supervisor Susan Siegel says she will continue to fight on toward the general election.

Siegel was defeated by fellow Republican Michael Grace, who had 60 percent of the vote to her 40 percent.

A recent report by the New York State auditor criticizing the town's spending habits may have overshadowed the primary, but Siegel denies that report had any bearing.

Siegel will run on the Conservative Party and Yorktown Better Government lines.

Former Supervisor Don Peters is running on the Democratic ticket.
