Dutchess County man killed hours after getting married

A Wingdale groom was killed in an ATV accident only hours after he was married this weekend, and police say the accident was caused by his brother.

The victim, reportedly identified as Nicholas Hoag, 25, had been married earlier in the day Saturday to Amber Sartori, a nurse at Putnam Hospital Center. Hoag was a passenger on an ATV that struck a tree and overturned, pinning him underneath.

His brother, Christopher, had been driving the ATV and was arrested and charged with DWI, according to investigators.

Christopher Hoag remains at the Westchester Medical Center and is expected to survive.
